Orientation Seminar
January 21st, 2009 by adminnorms

It was 7th day of June 2007 when I attented a Canadian Orientation Seminar Abroad Session held at IOM Office @ 24th Floor, Citibank Tower Condominium located at 8741 Paseo de Roxas, Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines . The lady in the picture is Diane Bienvenue one of the facilitator. Her companion is Louise Belanger but I failed to take a picture of her only Miss Diane. The Canadian Orientation Abroad Project (COA) is a world-wide and official pre-departure orientation project funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada. The orientation seminars offered for free charge with drinks and snacks. It is important for me to attend the said seminar for me to know the do’s and don’ts in traveling abroad especially in Canada. My main purpose of participating it is to learn the survival tips for a successful adaptation in Canada concerning arrival requirements; basic settling-in procedures; reliable information on issues and concerns regarding Canadian labour laws, contract expiry / extension, permanent resident status, sponsorship and learn about practical tips about life in Canada.
